Coronavirus: Updated policies and information
Our message to the global travel community
At FlixBus Charter, the well-being and safety of our passengers is our highest priority. FlixBus Charter's mission is to ensure the safest and most comfortable travel experience. We remain fully committed to that mission, particularly in times of uncertainty. Whether you’re on a trip now or in the process of planning one, we’re here to help you in any way we can.
Can we still travel with FlixBus Charter?
Yes, FlixBus Charter is still operating. However, due to the spread of COVID-19 (CoronaVirus), many regions have prohibited transportation. We are, therefore, limited to regions that are not facing government-issued travel restrictions. Please ensure you remain up to date on any travel restrictions for the region in which your group will travel to or from. You can find the latest updates here. If any location on your trip has a travel restriction, please contact our service team for further assistance on re-booking or cancellation.
What options do I have if I already have a reservation?
We updated our change and cancellation policy for all trips departing before August 11th 2020: We are offering more flexibility and easier cancellations.
Postpone your trip
If you would like to change your travel plans, our customer service team is happy to help! You can simply change the departure date of your trip to a later date.
For either option, simply contact us by email, and our service team will assist you.
Cancel your trip
If you’d like to cancel your trip, our customer service team is here for you. Simply send us an email to email@example.com requesting to cancel your trip, and we will send you an email confirming your cancellation as soon as possible.
Our updated cancellation policy is as follows:
- Free cancellation for all trips until 4 business days prior to departure. You will receive a 100% refund, no questions asked.
- Free cancellation until the day of departure for trips in a "red zone", or regions affected by government-issued travel restrictions. You will receive a 100% refund, no questions asked.
- Cancellations within 4 business days of your trip’s departure in regions not affected by official travel restrictions will follow our normal cancellation policy found in our Terms and Conditions
The latest information on local conditions

Which regions are closed?
Because of the COVID-19 outbreak, some zones and regions are closed to any type of visits. Specific updates about how COVID-19 is affecting travel across Europe can be found on the following website: https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/travel-advice
Please consider these regional travel restrictions while planning your trip. If the region in which you are traveling to encounters travel restrictions, please contact our service team for re-booking and cancellation options.
